Summary
The calendar view for Production Manager is a powerful way of looking at your Production Orders. All of the orders which are in the current filter-set will appear in the calendar with a focus on when various stages of those orders are due.
This view is designed to help teams make informed decisions on when they may want to make various downstream stages due for completion. If there is a day on which many orders are due, for Manufacturing (as an example) the user can look for and choose a day that is less busy which should help with load balancing.
Usage
The calendar view is accessed in:
- Supply Chain Manager'
- Production Status
- View As
- Calendar
The default view shows the count of orders based on the filter-set. The lighter blue the day is, the more heavily loaded it is with orders.
If no filters are set, it will provide a total count of all orders in all stages for every project the user is on. If the "Show All Company Projects" setting was checked (in the Order View filter) then ALL PROJECT's due dates across all stages will be shown.
Selecting on any of the "# Orders" on a day will open a view to show more details regarding those orders, Including
- Order Name
- The stage due to be completed on the selected date
- Select on an Order to gain more information on it
- Selecting Open will open the order in the card view
- Individual orders can also be exposed for each date on the calendar by selecting the "Show Individual orders" checkbox.
- When individual orders are shown, they can be dragged and dropped to different days on the calendar allowing the calendar to be used to as a load balancing tool for each organization.
Note: If no filters are set, orders will be represented
multiple time on the calendar, once for each
"due" date that order has been assigned:
o CRD = "Coordinate by" date
o DTL = "Detail by" date
o MNF = "Manufacture by" date
o QA = "QA by" date
o OnSite = "Onsite by" date
- When individual orders are shown, they can be dragged and dropped to different days on the calendar allowing the calendar to be used to as a load balancing tool for each organization.
- Stages of orders, and other filters, can be selected by clicking the "Order Dates" filter tool
- This is very useful if you want to see only the dates that orders that need to be "Manufactured by" or "Detailed by" or "On-Site by", to help load balance each part of your organization.
- Toggle between days, weeks or months
- Return to the current day, week or month
